Nokia Networks to work with Unisys - strengthening operator services offering for advanced 2G and 3G networks

Nokia and Unisys have signed a global agreement to co-operate in delivering network operation services to operators. This non-exclusive co-operation will reinforce Nokia's capability to support network operations.

As part of its unique Connecting@Care offering for existing GSM, GPRS and future 3G network operators, Nokia can provide a wide range of support services ranging from technical platform support to full outsourcing of network operations. Nokia can provide professional assistance with the emergence of new content-rich services in the crucial start-up period for 3G and advanced 2G networks.

Working with Nokia, Unisys will provide expert resources to support the development, management and optimisation of network operations for 3G and 2G. Nokia is committed to providing the first 3GPP standards compliant 3G networks with open interfaces in 2001, and as well as offering the fastest time to market for 3G, new 3G operators working with Nokia can keep their networks running at peak performance and secure their investments.
