Estate Planning Software Yourefolio™ Launches Version 2.0; Incorporates Unique Avatar Onboarding Feature

CLEVELAND, OH--(Marketwired - June 28, 2016) -

  • Yourefolio 2.0 with Avatar Onboarding guides clients through a series of thought-provoking questions that detail the intricacies of estate planning
  • Software was developed by a financial advisor in conjunction with psychologists to thoughtfully approach difficult estate planning decisions
  • Yourefolio 2.0 is now widely available for financial advisors and estate planning attorneys alike

Yourefolio™, the comprehensive, advisor-driven estate and legacy planning software designed to better and more meaningfully connect advisors with clients and their beneficiaries, has released Version 2.0 to include an unprecedented avatar-assisted onboarding process.

Conceptualized by advisors, estate planning attorneys, Certified Financial Planners® and insurance professionals, the next generation of Yourefolio offers a number of additional new features designed to better educate advisors' clients on the most vital aspects of estate planning, as well as to enhance advisors' overall visibility of client assets and important planning documents.

Yourefolio 2.0 features an avatar-assisted onboarding process that is first of its kind among estate planning software. The avatar guides clients through a series of thought-provoking questions to help them better understand the intricacies of estate planning that go beyond the transfer of wealth -- such as inner family workings, transfer of family heirlooms and other special instructions. These features were co-developed by psychologists to clearly and thoughtfully educate clients on the emotionally challenging aspects of end of life planning, while helping advisors better understand their clients' family dynamics and avoid potential issues in the transferring of their estates.

"As a financial advisor myself, I have seen firsthand what is involved in building a comprehensive estate plan -- and what can happen when those pieces are not effectively put in place," said Scott Huff, founder and CEO of Yourefolio. "Our goal at Yourefolio is simple: to educate families on the complexities of estate and legacy planning, and lay the groundwork to ensure that advisors are fully prepared to act in the best interest of their clients. We are thrilled to be launching Version 2.0 and are confident that these enhancements will give peace of mind to the advisors, their clients and their families."

Among the software's most unique features is its connection to the Master Death Index, which alerts advisors in the event of a client's passing, thereby prompting them that it is time to initiate the carefully constructed contingency plan that they've built together.

Yourefolio's flip book feature allows users to upload family traditions, messages, photos, videos and ethical wills to their own personal digital album. It also includes detailed instructions for beneficiaries so that nothing is left for interpretation. For the advisor, detailed algorithms provide guidance on the titling of assets to point out those that may be subject to probate or could cause a delay in the transfer of wealth. Flow charts give a view of the monetary transfer of items, as well as details such as how assets may be paid out, who is taking care of pets or children and any additional special instructions.
