Microshare.io joins the LoRa Alliance to support growth of low-power IoT networks with ready-made data management solutions

PHILADELPHIA, PA--(Marketwired - June 13, 2017) - The software and data governance firm Microshare.io has joined the LoRa Alliance™, an open, non-profit association of members to help drive the success of the LoRaWAN™ open global standard for secure, carrier-grade Internet of Things Low Power Wide Area Network connectivity.

"The LoRa Alliance is leading the industry in offering a diverse IoT ecosystem of secure, low-cost, low power sensors and networks," said Fraser Gibbs, Co-Founder and CTO of eleven-x, operator of Canada's first and only coast-to-coast LoRaWAN based low power wide area network. "However, we encounter lots of organizations seeking the benefits of IoT (i.e. data) but don't know where to store and share the data, and microshare™ fills that gap."

LoRa is quickly becoming the global standard for IoT networking including nationwide networks already in place in most of Western Europe and Asia, with initial applications already running in smart city, public transportation, smart metering, environmental monitoring, pest control and asset tracking.

Charles Paumelle, CMO of Microshare.io, said joining the LoRa Alliance was a natural next step, after working closely for the last 12 months with multiple parties in the association and delivering data governance solutions to both carriers, software and hardware manufacturers. "We have identified dozens of solutions which are ideally fulfilled by the LoRaWAN standard across multiple vertical industries, such as real estate, facilities management, transportation and energy management," Paumelle said. "And we've been made very welcome by many members of the LoRa ecosystem who see our microshare™ system as a unique complementary solution providing a ready-made data store for massive volumes of data, with full real-time, high-throughput control, compliance and audit capabilities using Artificial Intelligence and Robotic Process Automation."

Microshare.io, headquartered in Philadelphia, also maintains staff in New York, Boston, San Francisco and Ft. Lauderdale, and has a subsidiary in Europe based in the UK.
