The Thumbtack Guarantee provides customers with up to $1 million property damage protection across more than 1,000 service categories, from painters to carpet cleaners to wedding planners. To be covered by the Guarantee when hiring a professional on Thumbtack, customers need to mark their professional as "hired" on the website or in the app before they start their work and within 30 days of submitting a project request. In the rare event that damage is a result of negligence by a professional on Thumbtack, customers will have 72 hours to contact Thumbtack's customer support to submit a Thumbtack Guarantee request. Thumbtack will begin processing the request immediately and most requests will be resolved in fewer than 30 days.
